Current perception of rural values in the municipality of Břehov

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the perception of current rural values in the municipality of Břehov. The aim of the work was to find out how the inhabitants of the chosen locality perceive selected rural values and how these values affect their lives. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, a literary research was made, and was processed on the basis of Czech and foreign scientific literature. The theoretical part describes the countryside as a place to live, a rural history linked to the literary direction of ruralism and, last but not least, describes in detail the rural community and its structure in the Czech Republic. The practical part focuses on the research of chosen rural values in the municipality of Břehov. The research investigation was carried out by quantitative methodology using structured questionnaires. Specific recommendations are formulated at the end of the work to improve/strengthen the values discussed and maintain them for the future.

Success factors of rural municipalities

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the development and success of rural municipalities within the administrative district of the Hradec Králové municipality. The thesis will take into account the influence of external development factors on the success of the municipalities, i.e. the influence of size in the form of population and the influence of location in the form of distance from the city Hradec Králové. In the spirit of the currently prevailing institutional directions of development, the emphasis on internal development potentials and actors and the so-called bottom-up approach in the rural development paradigm, municipalities will be evaluated on the basis of indicators based on these concepts, which can be used to assess the level of development and therefore the success of a rural municipality. The output of the evaluation will be an overview of each village and how its location in relation to the centre and its population affect its development. The final determination of successful and threatened rural municipalities will be compared for the entire Hradec Králové ORP. This thesis deals with the development of rural municipality with an emphasis on the importance of the active participation of various groups of actors. It is aimed at the views of key groups of actors in the development of the municipality of Šaratice, which are for example representatives of local government, local businessmen, representatives of associations in the municipality and its citizens. Based on the analysis of obtained information provides suggestions of possible measures and recommendations that are useful for the future development of the municipality.

This bachelor thesis deals with the issues of vitality of rural settlements. The aim of the diploma thesis was to identify important aspects of the vitality of the rural settlement, to analyze selected factors and to use them to propose measures for vital rural settlement growth. To reach the aim was used static analyze three studied areas. Based on the information provided by the study of literature in combination with data processing, was suggested recommendations have been proposed to provide a vital rural settlement.

The trends of spending leisure time in Náchodsko region (a comparative study in the rural area)

Free time in today's life is becoming more and more important. The development of modern society and specialization of labor market today divides more obviously time for responsibilities and pastime. Leisure time is a very individual matter and its form is dependent on many aspects. Age and the size of the place of residence belong to those aspects that influence spending our free time. The relation between them became the core topic of this thesis. The practical part is based on my own research in three urban areas of different size in Nachod district. The research analyses the offer of free time activities as well as the attitude of the inhabitants in relation to their age and the size of town. The core task of this practical part was to look for any causal links. Deeper analysis shows that there is a certain coherence between the age of inhabitants, the size of their town and the style of spending leisure time, nevertheless this influence is not very significant. It is above all a very individual matter.

Leisure time in small communities in Prague suburban area

The thesis is focused on spending free time of inhabitants from two small villages in Prague sururban area and if there is any other option how to improve efficiency of spending free time of local inhabitants. The theoretical part concerns free time: its definiton, history, functions, factors which influence spending of free time. Essay gives information about two surveyved willages and its local options of free time activities.
The practical part used questionnaires and interviews which are described at the end of this thesis.

Participation of citizens in public life in rural municipality

The title of this bachelor work is The participation of citizens in public life in rural municipality. The work deals with a case study of the village Čížová. The thesis is divided into two parts the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part consists of four chapters that deal specifically with the introduction of rural communities in Bohemia, their legislation and an analysis of the components of the electoral system. In crucial chapter of literature review, the reader learns what the factors that influence voting behaviour and the turnout are. The last chapter discusses civic participation and the possibility of association of citizens under current legislation. The first chapter of the practical part presents the village Čížová from different perspectives. The next chapter analyses the local political system that represent especially candidates without party affiliation in a village with a size like that. The following chapter discusses the turnout in the village. In the village there works a huge variety of federal activities that have a long tradition.

In the first, theoretic part of thesis is takled about problems - history of village as self-goverment unit, different definitions od countryside, developing tools of villages, actors of development, factors of development village, participate of goverment and EU in development of village. The second, practical part of thesis presents an analyse of basic developing factors of 20 selected villages in the South Bohemian region, based on analyse of available statistical data a result of survey with management of villages.The thesis introduces proposis measures to development selected countryside villages.

SELECTED ASPECTS OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN THE COUNTRY FROM A REGIONAL POINT OF VIEW

Unemployment is one of the negative changes that occured in the Czech republic after year 1989. Rural areas, from the view of unemployment rate, represent one of the problematic areas of the Czech republic and also of the European Union. In my bachelor thesis I tried to map the situation and aspects of unemployment in chosen rural villages in Pilsen district, and design possible ways of its solution. The goal of this work was accomplished. This bachelor degree thesis can be used by representatives of villages and organizations that deal with investigation and solution of unemployment at the rural areas. I see the solution in public transport improvement in villages (especially bus transport) and in better utilization of financial sources that are provided within programs for rural areas development from Czech republic and also from European Union, e. g. to support small bussinessmen.
